Effective date: May 31, 2026. This policy explains the current Tank! app and website privacy posture in plain language.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to visitors to the Tank! public website and people using or evaluating the Tank! app.

Information handled in the app

Tank! is designed around aquarium records users enter, such as tank names, tank setup details, water-test readings, reminders, care activity, dose records, product notes, and warning notes where supported.

Current core app data is stored locally through the app's SwiftData-backed persistence path. There is no active Tank! account system or live backend app data service currently.

Website operational logs

This website is served through Apache behind Cloudflare Tunnel. Apache and Cloudflare may create operational logs needed to serve, secure, and troubleshoot the website.

Support communications

If you contact support through an official support channel, the information you choose to provide may be used to understand, troubleshoot, and respond to your request.

Purchases and subscriptions

If purchases or subscriptions are enabled in a future app version, payment and subscription handling is expected to run through Apple. Apple may process purchase-related information according to its own policies.

Advertising, analytics, and sale of personal information

The current static website does not include third-party advertising or analytics scripts. Tank! does not sell personal information.

Data retention and user choices

App records remain part of your local app data unless you edit or delete them in the app or remove app data through device-level controls. Website operational logs may be retained by the systems that serve and protect the website.

You can choose what aquarium details to enter. Avoid entering information you do not want saved in your app records or included in a support message.

Children's privacy

Tank! is not directed to children. If a parent or guardian believes a child provided personal information through a support channel, they should use the official support path listed on the Support page.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Tank! adds confirmed app, website, support, purchase, or data features. The effective date will be updated when the policy changes.
